Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

OptiMetrics, Inc.: Automated Decision Aid System for Hazardous Incident (ADASHI) First Response™

OptiMetrics, Inc. provides The ADASHI First Response™ System which is a standalone, interactive PC-based software tool that can aid in the response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive event by providing a decision-support system.


Verified Identity Pass Inc.: Verified Identity Pass (Verified ID)

Verified Identity Pass, Inc. provides Verified Identity Pass (“Verified ID”), which is a voluntary, biometrically secured, identification and access system.

General Electric Company, GE Infrastructure, Inc., GE Security, Inc., and GE InVision, Inc., all provide CTX™ explosive detection systems (EDS) — the CTX 9000 DSi™, CTX 5500 DS™, and CTX 2500™ — which aid in the detection of explosives in baggage using two types of x-ray images, computed tomography (CT), and proprietary software algorithms.

The Boeing Company provide’s the Visual Security Operations Console (VSOC) Sentinel, a situational awareness system that enables interoperability of multiple security applications providing key decision makers and first responders an open, secure platform for collaborative decision making to interdict or mitigate the effects of a terrorist attack.


BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration, Inc.: Matador™ Infrared Countermeasure (IRCM) System

BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration, Inc. provides the Matador™ Infrared Countermeasure System which are are lamp-based infrared countermeasure missile-jamming systems that can be deployed on fixed-wing aircraft to defeat Generation 1 infrared  guided (i.e., heat-seeking) missiles.
