Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

Leidos, Inc., a Delaware corporation provides the VACIS XPL Passenger Car Inspection System, a non-intrusive inspection system used for scanning motorcycles, passenger cars, and buses. The Technology comes in fixed (XPL or Plaza XPL), and mobile (MXPL) configurations.


Walt Disney Parks and Resorts U.S., Inc. (WDPR)

Approved: December 19, 2023 | Expires: May 31, 2029

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts U.S., Inc. (WDPR), a Florida corporation (the Seller), deploys the Walt Disney Security Program. The Technology is comprehensive and integrated system of planning and operational measures designed to protect and defend guests, visitors, Cast Members, and property at the Walt Disney World Resort.


Queens Ballpark Company, L.L.C.

Queens Ballpark Company, L.L.C., a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Sterling Mets, L.P, and other listed Sellers, provide the Citi Field Security Program (the "Technology"). The Technology is an integrated security program composed of physical and electronic security measures, tools, procedures and personnel designed to detect, deter, prevent, respond to, and mitigate Acts of Terrorism at Citi Field during Major League Baseball Game Days, Non-Game Days (In-Season), Non-Season Days, and Special Events. The Technology includes 24/7 security coverage and incorporates systems and security practices as well as the selection and maintenance of electronic security measures and the hiring, vetting, training, and management oversight of its employees and contractors.


Universal Protection Service d/b/a Allied Universal

Approved: November 07, 2023 | Expires: November 30, 2028

Universal Protection Service, LP d/b/a Allied Universal Security Services and Universal Protection Service, LLC d/b/a Allied Universal Security Services provide Shopping Mall Security Services. The Technology is physical security project management, and trained, unarmed security officers, at shopping mall facilities throughout the United States. The Technology includes security operations supported by onsite management and regional offices.


Las Vegas Arena Management, LLC

Approved: October 27, 2023 | Expires: November 30, 2026

Las Vegas Arena Company, LLC and Las Vegas Arena Management, LLC, provide the T-Mobile Arena Security Program. The Technology is a series of physical, electronic, and procedural measures developed and implemented at T-Mobile Arena with the intent to deter, detect, and respond to acts of terrorism. Staff Pro Inc. d/b/a Allied Universal Event Services provides Event Security Services. The Technology provides physical security and crowd management services at sports, entertainment, convention, and special event venues using unarmed security personnel.


VMD Systems Integrators, Inc.

Approved: October 05, 2023 | Expires: October 31, 2028

VMD Systems Integrators, Inc. provides Screening Partnership Program Services, Airport Passenger and Baggage Screening Services. The Technology is provided under the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA’s) Screening Partnership Program (SPP). It consists of trained and certified personnel who conduct passenger, airport employee, and baggage screening in accordance with TSA guidelines and standard operating procedures.


First & Goal Inc.

Approved: October 02, 2023 | Expires: October 31, 2028

First & Goal Inc. provides Lumen Field Security Program. The Technology is the Applicant’s implementation of the National Football League’s (NFL) Best Practices for Stadium Security, resulting in a program comprised of physical and electronic security equipment, tools, emergency planning processes and procedures, and properly trained personnel. The Technology applies to the entire stadium property, including the seating bowl and suites; gates; loading dock; inner and secondary perimeters; field; locker rooms; area housing utility and mechanical systems; command center; and parking areas.


San Diego Padres

Approved: September 29, 2023 | Expires: August 31, 2025

Padres L.P., Padres GP, LLC, San Diego Ballpark Funding LLC, and RSNCO LLC provide Petco Park Security Program (the Technology). The Technology is deployed during Game Days, Event Days, Non-Event Days, Special Events, Gallagher Square (formerly Park at the Park) Events, and Functions for use at Petco Park Stadium. The Technology is a comprehensive, integrated security program based on Major League Baseball’s Best Stadium Operating Practices, other sports industry best practices, other industry practices, and government recommendations; and is comprised of physical and electronic anti-terrorism security measures, tools, policies and procedures, and trained personnel designed to detect, deter, prevent, respond to, and mitigate acts of terrorism against Petco Park and ballpark ticketholders, visitors, staff, and employees.


Rohde Schwarz USA, Inc.

Rhode & Schwarz USA, Inc. and Rohde and Schwarz GmbH and Co. KG (Munich, Germany) provides QPS201 Security Scanner. The Technology is a millimeter wave Advanced Imaging Technology personnel screening system that detects anomalies on a person. The system consists of two flat panels that a person stands between for scanning and a computer and the complete system contains no moving parts. The scanner uses a machine learning algorithm to identify anomalies on a person and highlights the location of the anomalies on a generic avatar. The determination of whether an anomaly is a threat is dependent on the customer’s concept of operations, and outside the scope of the Technology.
