Approved Technologies
The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

The Boeing Company provides its Risk Management Analysis Process (the “Technology”). The Technology is a service to the TSA in accordance with an Other Transaction Agreement. As part of this contract, Boeing supports TSA’s assessment of commercial aviation vulnerabilities and security risks. The Technology includes all associated data and information products (e.g., briefings, recordings, manuals, and databases) that are generated as a result of the implementation of the Technology either by Boeing alone or in collaboration with TSA and the Aviation – Risk Management Working Group.

ANP Technologies, Inc., provides the NIDS® (Nano Intelligent Detection System) Rapid Hand-Held Biothreat Detection System (the “Technology”). The Technology is multiplexed lateral flow immunoassays, together with an automated hand-held reader. Assays for multiple biological threat targets (e.g., toxins, bacteria and bacterial spores, viruses) can be incorporated onto a single test strip to enable 2-plexed, 5-plexed, or 10-plexed detection with a single test run. The Technology can be used to detect and identify select biological threat agents present in liquid samples prepared from powder, air samplers, surfaces, or water matrices. The reader provides visual alerts, electronic records of all samples, and operates on battery, PC via USB, or wall power.

NPS LLC, TeamOps LLC, Foxboro Realty Associates LLC, FXP LLC, FXPA LLC, FXPL LLC, FXW LLC, New England Patriots LLC and Kraft Soccer LLC provide the Gillette Stadium Security Program (the “Technology”). The Technology is comprised of physical and electronic security equipment, tools, emergency planning processes and procedures, and properly trained personnel, which covers the entire stadium property. This includes the seating bowl and suites, gates, loading dock, inner and secondary perimeters, field, locker rooms, area housing utility and mechanical systems, command center, and parking areas.

Battelle National Biodefense Institute, LLC provides Management and Operations (“M&O”) Services for the National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center (“NBACC”) (the “Technology”). The Technology is science–to-operations services for the Federally Funded Research and Development Center designed for biological threat characterization, forensic analysis, and scientific, technical, and program support.

Lion First Responder PPE, Inc., Lion Group, Inc. and Lion Apparel, Inc. provide Chemical and Biological Protective Ensembles and Liquid Splash Protective Clothing (the “Technology”). The Technology is a family of protective suits designed to provide protection for first responders from the results of incidents involving vapor or liquid chemical and biological hazards. The Technology also includes manuals and training materials for each ensemble.

Countermeasures Assessment and Security Experts, LLC provides the Hazardous Materials Transportation Analytical Risk Model (“H-TRAM©” or the “Technology”). The Technology is a web-based software as a subscription (“SaaS”) risk reduction decision support tool that is used by Class II and Class III railroads to perform rail transportation route analysis for the transportation of hazardous materials on designated rail routes. The Technology includes documentation and user manuals to support the performance of risk analysis for the rail transportation of hazardous materials.

The Technology includes the methods for remote viewing of images, installation, training, and maintenance of the Technology.

The Technology consists of a canine and a single human handler, for detecting explosives. The Technology includes policies, procedures, and documentation for hiring and vetting of personnel, training of teams, and deployment of the Technology.

Bank of America Corporation provides its Critical Infrastructure Protection and Security Services (the “Technology”) to protect and secure critical infrastructure and to keep safe customers, employees, contractors and visitors at Bank of America facilities. The Technology is an integrated security system consisting of policies, procedures, services and component systems designed to provide a centralized capability to assess changing threat conditions and activities which could pose a threat to the bank’s enterprise and to take actions to mitigate and respond to such risks. The Technology includes services performed by Bank of America Corporation’s Protective Services Group and Security Operations Analysis and Command Center (“SOACC”).
