Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

Approved: September 09, 2016 \| Expires: September 30, 2021 Emergent Protective Products USA, Inc. and Emergent BioSolutions Inc. provide Reactive Skin Decontamination Lotion Kit (“RSDL” or the “Technology”). The Technology is a formulation for the treatment of skin that has been contaminated with toxic chemical agents. The Technology is formulated to neutralize and/or remove the following chemical warfare agents: (a) nerve agents, including many organophosphate-pesticides; (b) blister agents, and (c) Trichothecene Mycotoxin (T-2) toxins that have come into contact with exposed skin.

The Technology consists of a set of services used to upgrade, modify, enhance, operate, and maintain Selectivity and Targeting Systems Software Applications in response to evolving technologies, threats, and mission requirements.
Emergent BioDefense Operations Lansing LLC Approved: August 26, 2016 \| Expires: September 30, 2021 Emergent BioDefense Operations Lansing LLC provides BioThrax® (the “Technology”). The Technology is a sterile liquid suspension made from cell-free filtrates of microaerophilic cultures of an avirulent, nonencapsulated strain of Bacillus anthracis. The Technology is U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”)-licensed for active immunization of individuals between 18 and 65 years of age to prevent disease caused by Bacillus anthracis. The Technology is to be administered and used in a manner consistent with its FDA licensing as a pre-exposure prophylaxis or as directed by the U.S. Government as a post-exposure prophylaxis. The Technology also includes manufacturing, testing, labeling, packaging, and storage of BioThrax®, as well as the associated technical documents and manuals.

The Technology is a scalable, cloud-based platform that aggregates, maps, stores, and shares real-time visual information from fixed security cameras and smartphone cameras. The end-user is able to share a geolocated video or photograph and add a brief description of the incident. The Technology is a web application hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) that is used to increase situational awareness and improve response time.
Mulligan Security Corp. Approved: July 28, 2016 \| Expires: August 31, 2021 Mulligan Security Corp. provides Security Services (the "Technology"). The Technology is unarmed security officers and armed tactical response officers at high-rise commercial buildings, school campuses, religious facilities, corporate facilities, and adjacent critical infrastructure in the New York metropolitan area and New Jersey. The Technology also includes site surveys and needs assessments, and the hiring, training and management of personnel.
