Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

Gillette Stadium

Approved: October 25, 2022 | Expires: November 30, 2027

NPS LLC, TeamOps LLC, Foxboro Realty Associates LLC, FXP LLC, FXPA LLC, FXPL LLC, FXW LLC, New England Patriots LLC, Kraft Soccer LLC, Kraft Sports and Entertainment LLC, and FRA Terminals LLC, provide the Gillette Stadium Security Program (the "Technology"). The Technology is comprised of physical and electronic security equipment, tools, emergency planning processes and procedures, and properly trained personnel, which covers the entire stadium property. This Technology includes the seating bowl and suites, gates, loading dock, inner and secondary perimeters, field, locker rooms, area housing utility and mechanical systems, command center, and parking areas.


Chertoff Group

Approved: September 26, 2022 | Expires: October 31, 2027

Chertoff Group, L.L.C. provides The Chertoff Group Security Risk Management Consulting Methodology. The Technology is a repeatable security risk management approach for critical infrastructure derived from United States government critical infrastructure guidance and other nationally and internationally recognized standards and publications. The Technology also includes the Seller’s trained personnel and deliverables produced via the Technology.


Global GRAB Technologies

Approved: September 26, 2022 | Expires: July 31, 2025

Global Grab Technologies, Inc., provides the following Perimeter Security and Access Control Components, a family of barriers used to protect the perimeter of designated areas and facilities tested in accordance with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).


ARES Corporation

Approved: September 26, 2022 | Expires: February 28, 2025

The Technology is a computer-based software tool, AVERT® (Automated Vulnerability Evaluation for Risks of Terrorism®) Software and Related Services, for performing vulnerability assessments of user-defined facilities. The output from the Technology is a computerized 3-D site map, vulnerability reports, and related outputs to estimate the probability of successful attack completion for scenarios as the customer defined. Using a combination of customer and Applicant input, the Technology provides a computer-modeled assessment of hypothetical terrorist attacks to aid in performing vulnerability assessments and to inform decision makers where security could be optimized.


Avigilon

Approved: September 26, 2022 | Expires: September 30, 2027

Avigilon Corporation provides Avigilon High-Definition Video Surveillance System. The Technology is a high-definition video surveillance system that includes video management software, high-definition video surveillance cameras, and video analytics.


Palo Alto Networks Inc.

Approved: September 26, 2022 | Expires: October 31, 2027

Palo Alto Networks, Inc., provides Palo Alto Next-Generation Security Platform. The Technology is a family of Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) hardware appliances and software designed to protect information technology networks from cybersecurity threats and intrusions, while also classifying network traffic to safely enable applications, users, and content. The Technology also includes a warranty, training, maintenance, and support services, and manuals and documentation.


Insitu Group, Inc.

Approved: September 26, 2022 | Expires: October 31, 2027

The Boeing Company, Insitu, Inc., and Insitu Pacific Limited provide the X-200 Unmanned Aerial System (a.k.a., X-200 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle ("UAV") System or the ScanEagle™) (the "Technology"). The Technology is an autonomous aerial reconnaissance and surveillance system that can be deployed from land or sea. The Technology also includes deployment, sustainment, maintenance, training, and several other repair and report services.


American Water Works Company

Approved: September 26, 2022 | Expires: October 31, 2027

American Water Works Company, Inc., American Water Works Service Company, Inc., and other subsidiaries provide American Water Technology & Innovation - Enterprise Security. The Applicant provides its American Water Technology & Innovation-Enterprise Security to its water and waste water production and distribution systems to mitigate and reduce the risk of a terrorist attack at its holdings (the Technology). The Technology includes risk management processes, personnel training and emergency exercises, and security oversight activities managed at the corporate level.


Stantec Consulting Services Inc.

Approved: September 09, 2022 | Expires: September 30, 2027

Stantec Consulting Services Inc. provides Mobility Plan Consulting Services. The Technology includes consultation services and development of plans for the movement of pedestrian and vehicular traffic within and around sports and entertainment venues, campus-style facilities, high-rise buildings, and government buildings. The Technology produces two types of deliverables for customers: normal state and emergency response operational plans. This Designation will expire on September 30, 2027.


Constellis, LLC, American K-9 Detection Services,

Approved: September 08, 2022 | Expires: September 30, 2027

Constellis, LLC, and subsidiaries ACADEMI K-9 Services, LLC, and American K-9 Detection Services, LLC, provide Explosives Detection Canine Services. The Technology consists of an explosive detection canine and its single-person explosive detection canine handler, to enable detection of explosives and explosive materials in stationary objects. The Technology includes the hiring and vetting of handlers, team training and certification, canine health and welfare, Technology deployment, and associated policies, procedures and other documentation.
