Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

AdVnT Biotechnologies, LLC Approved: March 21, 2014 | Expires: April 30, 2019 AdVnT Biotechnologies, LLC provides Biowarfare Screening Assays (the “Technology”). The Technology is a group of assay based devices used to screen for a select group of biothreat agents.
AdVnt Biotechnologies, LLC Approved: May 05, 2009 | Expires: June 30, 2014 AdVnt Biotechnologies, LLC, provides Biowarfare Screening Assays. The Technology includes Biowarfare Agent Detection Devices (BADD™) and the Pro Strips Rapid Screening System™ kit, both of which are immunochromatography-based assays used to screen for the presence of biothreat agents. Each assay provides a one-time use capability and is designed to presumptively identify one or more biothreat agents, including Anthrax, Ricin toxin, Botulinum toxin, Plague (Yersinia pestis), and/or SEB (Staphylococcal Enterotoxin B).
