Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

Approved: August 25, 2015 | Expires: September 30, 2020 Akal Security, Inc. provides Private Screening Services as part of the Transportation Security Administration (“TSA”) Screening Partnership Program (“SPP” or the “Technology”). The Technology consists of trained and certified personnel who conduct passenger, airport employee, and baggage screening in accordance with TSA guidelines and standard operating procedures. The Technology also includes operation, training, and maintenance as related to airport screening equipment. Certification of the Technology is specific to deployment at the Kansas City International Airport (MCI).
Akal Security, Inc.: Security Screening and Guard Services Approved: December 18, 2007 | Expires: December 31, 2012 Akal Security, Inc., provides Security Screening and Guard Services. The technology consists of a variety of security services for U.S. Government and private-sector clients, including: development of customer-specific security plans, screening and threat detection, and security training.
