Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

Avigilon Corporation provides Avigilon Access Control Manager ("ACM")™ Software ("ACM™ Software") (the "Technology"). The Technology is software used to manage non-proprietary, third-party provided door control hardware, along with other door control systems, such as mechanical locks, credential readers, and door monitoring sensors, for the purpose of managing and securing physical ingress and egress of a physical facility or campus. The Technology includes the Installation Manual and the Operator’s Manual the Applicant provides to the customer.

Avigilon Corporation (“Avigilon”) provides Avigilon High-Definition Video Surveillance System (the “Technology”). The Technology is a high-definition video surveillance system that includes video management software and high-definition video surveillance cameras. The Technology includes recording hardware and system accessories such as lenses, camera enclosures, and joystick/keyboard controllers.
