Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

CEIA USA, Ltd. Approved: June 12, 2023 | Expires: June 30, 2028 CEIA USA Ltd. provides OPENGATE. The Technology is a walk-through metal detector for screening people in transit, without divestment of personal belongings or hand-carried bags such as backpacks, purses, and handbags, to detect metallic assembled firearms, large edged weapons, and assembled person-borne improvised explosive devices. The Technology also includes a warranty, training, technical documents, and manuals as part of the delivery process as well as support services and maintenance conducted by the Seller.
CEIA USA, Ltd. Approved: May 24, 2023 | Expires: May 31, 2028 CEIA USA, Ltd., provides Metal Detectors. The Technology is a series of walk-through metal detectors and handheld metal detectors (the Technology). The Technology uses weak continuous wave electromagnetic fields to detect potential metallic threat objects. The walk-through metal detectors are used to screen for weapons and other metallic threat items contained, for example, on or in a person’s body. The handheld metal detectors are used to screen for weapons on a person’s body. Included in the Technology are installation services, site acceptance testing, maintenance, user training, and related technical documentation.

The Technology is designed to detect liquid threats such as combustibles, flammables, and explosives that are concealed in bottles and similar containers. The Technology also includes installation, site acceptance testing, maintenance, and user training.
CEIA USA, Ltd. Approved: August 10, 2012 | Expires: September 30, 2015 CEIA USA, Ltd., an Ohio Limited Liability Company, provides the EMA-MS Bottled Liquid Scanner. The Technology is designed to detect liquid threats such as combustibles, flammables, and explosives that are concealed in bottles and similar containers. The Technology also includes installation, site acceptance testing, maintenance, and user training.
