Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

Covenant Aviation Security, LLC Approved: September 19, 2024 | Expires: April 30, 2030 Covenant Aviation Security, LLC (CAS) provides its Security Services, Guard Services, and Physical Security Services for Aviation Facilities. The Technology consists of the provision of unarmed security officers who perform access control services, screening of persons, vehicle screening, foot and vehicle patrols, and alarm monitoring at airports. The Technology is subject to applicable State and local laws for the provision of security services and, depending upon the regulatory status of the client to whom the services are provided, to U.S. Government regulations for security operations at airports, including applicable sections of 49 CFR, Chapter 12, Subchapter C for Civil Aviation Security.

The Technology consists of trained and certified personnel who conduct passenger, airport employee, and baggage screening in accordance with Transportation Security Administration ("TSA") guidelines and standard operating procedures.
Covenant Aviation Security Approved: March 25, 2020 | Expires: April 30, 2025 Covenant Aviation Security, LLC (CAS) provides its Security Services, Guard Services, and Physical Security Services for Aviation Facilities. Covenant Aviation Security, LLC Approved: December 10, 2012 | Expires: December 31, 2017 Covenant Aviation Security, LLC provides Certified Cargo Screening Facilities (the "Technology"). The Technology, Certified Cargo Screening Facilities, is designed to aid in meeting the congressional mandate that 100 percent of cargo placed on passenger airplanes be screened. The Technology includes, and provides, screeners and programmatic personnel for the screening of cargo in accordance with the Transportation Security Administration’s (“TSA’s”) Certified Cargo Screening Program at TSA-approved Certified Cargo Screening Facilities.
Covenant Aviation Security, LLC Approved: May 17, 2010 | Expires: June 30, 2015 Covenant Aviation Security, LLC provides Private Screening Services. The Technology is airport checkpoint screening services conducted under the TSA's Screening Partnership Program (SPP). The Technology includes screening persons and baggage entering and inside the airport sterile area, preventative maintenance of equipment, and executive security service activities such as Variable Intermodal Prevention and Response (VIPR). The Technology may also include any additional services the TSA defines in its statement of work.
Covenant Aviation Security, LLC: Private Screening Services Approved: April 18, 2005 | Expires: April 30, 2010 Covenant Aviation Security, LLC’s Private Screening Services consists of trained and skilled personnel to operate screening equipment, conduct pre-board passenger screening, carry-on and checked luggage and accessible property screening to prevent prohibited items from entering the sterile area of the airport.
