Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

Decision Sciences International Corporation Approved: April 18, 2014 | Expires: May 31, 2017 Decision Sciences International Corporation provides the Multi-Mode Passive Detection System (“MMPDS” or the “Technology”). The Technology is a passive detection system for cargo and vehicle inspection that combines latent gamma ray detection technology and muon tomography. The Technology also includes the main apparatus, the software used to control the detectors and produce the three-dimensional image, the technical manuals, and training.
