Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. FirstWatch Approved: February 10, 2012 | Expires: February 28, 2017 FirstWatch Solutions, Inc. provides FirstWatch. The Technology is a hosted real-time, web-based commercial off-the-shelf situational awareness dashboard, data surveillance, and early-warning software system. The Technology is configured to obtain reported information from various geographically diverse and disparate existing data sources, such as safety and public health databases. Using these data, the Technology performs analytics to identify trends and detect potential threats, thus allowing authorized users to securely monitor for statistically significant occurrences of reported issues that are potentially relevant to situational awareness, homeland security, and/or public health. The Technology also includes hosting, training, and help-desk services.
