Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

Honeywell International, Inc. Approved: October 03, 2024 | Expires: October 30, 2029 Honeywell International, Inc. provides Digital Video Manager™ System. The Technology is a scalable digital video surveillance system that delivers advanced user features for monitoring security threats and providing recorded video in support of post-incident investigations. The Technology also includes the personnel who conduct installation, maintenance, and training services; supporting system reports and recommendations; and, attendant manuals, checklists, and technical documents related to the DVM System.
Honeywell International Inc. Approved: June 26, 2019 | Expires: July 31, 2024 Honeywell International Inc. provides the Digital Video Manager ("DVM") System. The Technology is a scalable, digital closed-circuit television surveillance system delivering advanced user features for monitoring security threats and providing recorded video in support of post-incident investigations. The Technology also includes: the personnel who conduct installation, maintenance, and training services; supporting system reports and recommendations; and, attendant manuals, checklists, and technical documents related to the DVM System.
Honeywell Technology Solutions Inc. and Honeywell International Inc. Approved: July 22, 2016 | Expires: July 31, 2021 Honeywell Technology Solutions Inc. and Honeywell International Inc. provide Cyber Security Services (the “Technology”). The Technology consists of a suite of consulting services intended to assess and improve a client’s cybersecurity posture and support cyber event analysis and incident management. Designation coverage extends to contracts provided to the Federal Government and in accordance with Federal Government contract specifications. Certification coverage extends to contracts provided to the U.S. Department of Defense (“DoD”) for DoD or other Federal agency customers.
Honeywell Approved: May 05, 2016 | Expires: May 31, 2021 Honeywell International Inc. provides the Enterprise Building Integrator software (“EBI” or the “Technology”). The Technology consists of the EBI Security Manager, for control of building security, access control and digital video systems; the EBI Life Safety Manager which allows monitoring of life safety and fire systems; and the EBI Building Manager, which integrates control over building management functions such as heating, cooling, and energy management. EBI is typically deployed to industries such as large commercial buildings, industrial facilities, airports, university campuses, pharmaceutical and healthcare facilities, and government locations.
Honeywell Technology Solutions Inc. (“HTSI”) and Honeywell International Inc. Approved: August 25, 2015 | Expires: August 31, 2020 Honeywell Technology Solutions Inc. (“HTSI”) and Honeywell International Inc. provide Physical Security Services (the “Technology”). The Technology consists of the design, installation, and maintenance of physical security systems, including: intrusion detection systems, video surveillance systems, facility security barrier systems and gate operators, perimeter security and surveillance systems, wide area mass notification systems (e.g., Giant Voice), and cargo screening systems. The Technology is deployed for Federal Government users. The Technology also includes the selection of physical security system hardware and software, selection and oversight of subcontractors, and all technical manuals developed for use with the Technology.

Approved: May 05, 2014 | Expires: May 31, 2019 Honeywell International, Inc. provides the Digital Video Manager™ (“DVM”) System, a scalable, digital closed-circuit television (“CCTV”) surveillance solution that delivers advanced user security features, allowing for effective monitoring for security threats and comprehensive investigations (the “Technology”). The Technology provides control over the recording and retrieval process while enabling monitoring and control of the surveillance process itself. It is designed with an open architecture to integrate with customers’ existing enterprise systems.
Honeywell International Inc., doing business as Vindicator Technologies Approved: August 07, 2013 | Expires: August 31, 2018 Honeywell International, Inc., doing business as Vindicator Technologies, provides V5 Intrusion Detection and Access Control Systems. The Technology is a system of devices that provides for remote monitoring of security cameras, access control stations, and intrusion detection sensors. The Technology also includes all attendant manuals, installation, acceptance testing, and the qualifications of those providing the services.
Honeywell International Corporation Approved: March 16, 2011 | Expires: March 31, 2016 Honeywell International Corporation provides Enterprise Building Integrator. The Technology is a common software control architecture used to control a building or facility’s security, life safety, and/or building maintenance (heating, cooling, ventilation, etc.) functions. The Technology also includes design, installation, integration, maintenance support, and customer training, and documentation services provided by Honeywell. The Designation for this Technology does not apply to or provide coverage for Acts of Terrorism that utilize chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear (CBRN) agents or materials.
Honeywell Resins & Chemicals, LLC: Sulf-N® 26 Fertilizer Process and Product Approved: September 04, 2008 | Expires: October 31, 2013 Honeywell Resins & Chemicals, LLC provides the Sulf-N® 26 Fertilizer Process and Product. The Technology is an ammonium sulfate nitrate fertilizer that is less detonatable than standard fertilizers on the market. The fertilizer is created using a special process based on the reaction of ammonium nitrate and ammonium sulfate. The Technology also includes all reports, recommendations, instructions, materials used with the Technology, personnel who manufacture the Technology, personnel training, and all relevant documentation.
Honeywell International, Inc., dba Vindicator Technologies: V5 Intrusion Detection and Access Control Systems Approved: June 02, 2008 | Expires: June 30, 2013 Honeywell International, Inc., dba Vindicator Technologies provides the V5 Intrusion Detection and Access Control Systems. The Technology is a system of devices that provides for remote monitoring of security cameras, access control stations, and intrusion detection sensors. It is highly configurable and can deployed in a manner that fits the customer’s specific needs and desires.
