Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. Hope Medical Enterprises, Inc. (d/b/a Hope Pharmaceuticals) provides Sodium Nitrite Injection, Sodium Thiosulfate Injection, and Nithiodote™ (the "Technology"). The Technology is a set of vials intended for sequential intravenous use to treat acute poisoning resulting from exposure to cyanide. This Designation will expire on February 28, 2023.

Hope Medical Enterprises, Inc. (d/b/a Hope Pharmaceuticals), provides Sodium Nitrite Injection, Sodium Thiosulfate Injection, and Nithiodote™. The Technology is a co-packaged kit of Sodium Nitrite Injection and Sodium Thiosulfate Injection, for use in accordance with U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved dosages and means of administration for the treatment of acute cyanide poisoning judged to be life-threatening. The Technology also includes instructions for administering the Technology, package inserts, and all technical documents associated with the Technology.
