Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

Implant Sciences Corporation Approved: May 21, 2015 | Expires: June 30, 2020 Implant Sciences Corporation provides Quantum Sniffer™ (the “Technology”). The Technology is a product line of handheld, portable explosive trace detection devices. The Technology also includes operator’s manuals.
Implant Sciences Corporation Approved: October 31, 2013 | Expires: November 30, 2018 Implant Sciences Corporation, a Massachusetts corporation, provides the Quantum Sniffer™ QS-B220 Benchtop Explosives Trace Detector (the “Technology”). The Technology uses patented photonic and corona discharge non-radioactive ionization, ion mobility spectroscopy, and automatic self-calibration to detect trace levels of explosives vapor and nanogram quantities of explosives particulates and narcotics.
Implant Sciences Corporation Approved: August 26, 2011 | Expires: September 30, 2014 Implant Sciences Corporation provides Quantum Sniffer™ QS-B220 Benchtop Explosives Trace Detector. The Technology is a device designed to detect trace levels of explosives vapor and nanogram quantities of explosives particulates.
Implant Sciences Corporation Approved: January 26, 2010 | Expires: January 28, 2015 Implant Sciences Corporation, provides the Quantum Sniffer™. The Technology is an explosive trace detection device that is able to detect minute quantities of explosives vapor and particulate matter. The Technology comes in two models. Both contain the same patented vortex technology.
