Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

The Technology is a family of protective suits designed to provide protection for first responders from the results of incidents involving vapor or liquid chemical and biological hazards. The Technology also includes manuals and training materials for each ensemble.

Lion Apparel, Inc. Approved: February 17, 2011 | Expires: February 29, 2016 Lion Apparel, Inc. provides Chemical and Biological Protective Ensembles and Liquid Splash Protective Clothing. The Protective Ensembles are a family of multi-wear, multi-threat NFPA 1994 Class 2, Class 3, and NFPA 1992 protective suits designed to protect emergency first responder personnel at terrorism and emergency incidents involving vapor or liquid chemical and biological hazards. The SAFETY Act Designation for the Technology does not include protection from radiological and/or nuclear events.
