Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. Microsemi Corporation Approved: December 03, 2012 | Expires: December 31, 2017 Microsemi Corp. – RF Integrated Solutions provides BIS-WDS™ (Brijot Imaging Systems Weapons Detection System) (the "Technology"). The Technology is a concealed threat detection system consisting of two models, the Prime 1603 and GEN2 (and GEN 2A). Both versions of the BIS-WDS™ use passive millimeter wave technology to identify concealed weapons. The Technology is capable of detecting concealed objects on a subject as they walk and performs best under specific environmental conditions outlined in the unit’s specifications. The Technology also includes warranty services, technical documentation, maintenance, and spare parts available from the manufacturer.
Microsemi Corporation Approved: December 29, 2011 | Expires: August 31, 2012 Microsemi Corporation - RF Integrated Solutions provides the BIS-WDS®. The Technology is a millimeter wave detector designed to image suspicious objects present on a subject person from a stand-off distance. It can be used alone or integrated with other security devices to create a more complete security solution. Maintenance, warranty services, selection and qualification of distributors, spare parts sales, and all relevant technical documentation are included in the Technology.
