Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

MorphoTrust USA, LLC provides Automated Biometric Identification System® (“ABIS®” or the “Technology”). The Technology is an automated system for identifying, recording, verifying, and recognizing biometric information, including fingerprint, palm print, iris, and facial data. The Technology also includes design and integration, installation, training, technical documentation, maintenance, and associated support services.


MorphoTrust USA, LLC

Approved: December 16, 2015 | Expires: January 31, 2021

MorphoTrust USA, LLC provides Universal Enrollment Services (the “Technology”). The Technology consists of hardware, software, and services necessary to provide and maintain enrollment centers, including gathering biographic information, capturing biometric data, and issuing credentials.

MorphoTrust USA, LLC, provides Document Authentication, a suite of products that, taken together, allow for the acquisition of information contained in personal identity documents, and for comparison of the acquired information against relevant document databases.

MorphoTrust USA, LLC provides Enhanced Credential Authentication Technology (“E-CAT” or the “Technology”). The Technology is a suite of products that automatically verifies multiple security features on identification documents such as drivers’ licenses, passports, and other common forms of identification, to further enhance the security of the screening process. The Technology is for use by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Administration (“TSA”) and is limited to TSA deployment.
