Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

Raytheon Company Approved: March 02, 2017 | Expires: February 28, 2022 Raytheon Company and Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC provide Security Equipment Integration (“SEI”) services. The Technology is a set of services used for the installation and integration of security equipment applications at airport and transportation facilities for the detection of explosives and other prohibited items. The services are performed in accordance with airport, local, State, and national building codes, and in compliance with the Department of Homeland Security’s (“DHS”) Transportation Security Administration’s (“TSA”) regulations and security equipment specifications and to other Federal and State specifications/regulatory requirements.
Raytheon Company and Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC Approved: August 25, 2015 | Expires: August 31, 2020 Raytheon Company and Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC provide Mail Processing and Screening Services (the “Technology”). The Technology is an integrated set of services, equipment, and personnel designed to counter and guard against exploitation of mail systems to perpetrate an attack. The Technology is customizable and includes the following elements: planning, engineering, development, equipment, personnel, operations, and maintenance. It is deployed at specified National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (“NGA”) installations in accordance with contract requirements.
Raytheon Company and Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC Approved: June 11, 2013 | Expires: June 30, 2018 Raytheon Company and its wholly owned subsidiary, Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC provide Criminal Information Sharing Services. The Technology is a set of systems engineering and integration services used to aid in the creation of a secure network system that enables law enforcement agencies to share cross jurisdictional information to provide assistance in the prevention or investigation of Acts of Terrorism. The Technology also includes a number of components which assist in the design and construction of an environment allowing for information sharing, integration of existing information into the collaborative environment, and migration of existing systems into an architecture that will enhance sharing of criminal or terrorist information.
Raytheon Company and Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC Approved: June 11, 2010 | Expires: June 30, 2015 Raytheon Company and Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC provide Mail Processing and Screening Services. The Technology is an integrated set of services, equipment, and personnel designed to counter and guard against exploitation of mail systems to perpetrate an attack. The Technology is customizable and includes the following elements: planning, engineering, development, equipment, personnel, operations, and maintenance. It is deployed at specified National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) installations in accordance with contract requirements.
