Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

S2 Global, Inc. Approved: August 18, 2022 | Expires: August 31, 2027 S2 Global, Inc. provides the Image Analysis Training / S2 University. The Technology is the development and conduct of training programs for operators of non-intrusive inspection systems. The Technology also includes all training software, content, methods of instruction and evaluation, materials and documentation, and the qualifications of the Seller’s personnel who perform the training.
S2 Global, Inc. Approved: September 08, 2014 | Expires: September 30, 2019 S2 Global, Inc. provides Security Screening Services (the “Technology”). The Technology operates and maintains non-intrusive security cargo inspection systems. The Technology includes the selection and provision of non-intrusive security screening equipment (and its associated software and networking); the provision of ancillary, commercially available technologies and infrastructure to be used in conjunction with the security screening equipment (e.g., video cameras, lighting, optical character recognition software, security barriers); performance of screening operations; recruiting, hiring, training and managing of personnel who conduct cargo screening operations; and maintenance and repair of the equipment.

Approved: March 15, 2012 | Expires: April 30, 2015 S2 Services Puerto Rico, LLC, is the Puerto Rican subsidiary of S2 Global, Inc., which is the subsidiary of Rapiscan Systems, a wholly owned affiliate of OSI Systems. S2 Global, Inc. provides Cargo Screening and Inspection Services. The Technology is a suite of services for the installation, operation and maintenance of non-intrusive security inspection systems at sea ports. The Technology includes selection, installation, operation and maintenance of security screening equipment and ancillary components as well as inspection area design and personnel management.
