Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

Securitas AB, Securitas Holdings Inc., Securitas Services, Inc., Securitas Critical Infrastructure Services, Inc., Securitas Critical Infrastructure Services of Puerto Rico, Inc., Pinkerton's LLC, and Paragon Systems Inc., provide Security Guard Services. The Technology is anti-terrorism functions performed by armed and unarmed security officers deployed in the United States and its territories for the protection of critical infrastructure. These security officers receive baseline and annual refresher training, including advanced anti-terrorism training comprised of: anti-terrorism threat awareness training, weapons of mass destruction ("WMD") training, terrorism method of operations training, and response to terror attacks.


Securitas Critical Infrastructure Services, Inc.

Approved: May 11, 2018 | Expires: May 31, 2023

Securitas Critical Infrastructure Services, Inc. ("SCIS"), Pinkerton’s, LLC, Securitas Services, Inc. d/b/a Securitas, Inc., Securitas Holdings, Inc., and Securitas AB, a Swedish corporation (collectively, the "Seller") provides Background Investigation Services (the "Technology"). The Technology is the conduct of investigative fieldwork services for Federal background investigations under contract to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management’s National Background Investigations Bureau.

Designation: Security Services (the “Technology”) is total security solution services based on the specific circumstances and characteristics of each deployment. Some services include: armed and unarmed security professionals, access control, ambulatory response, development of a security plan, and post-incident investigation and assessment. Certification: Security Guard Services (the “Technology”) is total security solution services based on the specific circumstances and characteristics of each deployment. Some services include: armed and unarmed security professionals, access control, and ambulatory response. The Technology is specific to security guards receiving ongoing anti-terrorism training.
