Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. The Raytheon Company provides Perimeter Intrusion Detection System. The Technology is a systems-engineering and integration service that is designed to deploy and support systems that detect, assess, track, and facilitate response to perimeter intrusions at ports, airports, sensitive buildings or other customer sites. The Technology may also include the following: program management, system design, subcontractor selection, system integration, system maintenance plans, testing services, training, warranty and maintenance services, and technical manuals.

JPS Communications: Audio Control Unit (ACU) product line

Approved: December 18, 2008 | Expires: January 31, 2014

JPS Communications, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Raytheon Company, provides the Audio Control Unit (ACU) product line, which consists of the ACU-1000, the ACU-2000 IP, the ACU-M, the ACU-T, and the TRP-1000 (the “Technology”). The Technology allows existing, disparate communications systems to cross-connect with each other. The Technology also includes customer training services, warranty services, and all technical manuals.
