Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

The University of Kentucky Approved: March 23, 2011 | Expires: April 30, 2016 The University of Kentucky provides the Ferti-Safe Process. The Technology is the intellectual property defining a process for the production of an ammonium nitrate (AN) fertilizer that has been treated to render it less detonable than standard AN fertilizer. The Technology also includes test-market and research-scale quantities of the Ferti-Safe product that the Seller manufactures for the purpose of market evaluation and testing.
