Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

Vigilant Solutions, LLC: Preferred Traveler Program Approved: July 24, 2008 | Expires: August 31, 2013 Vigilant Solutions, LLC provides the Preferred Traveler Program. The Technology is a biometrically-secure identification and access system that includes hardware and software as well as personal enrollment verification services. Depending on customer needs, it will be composed of some combination of the following: enrollment services, verification, smart card and processing, data management, checkpoint kiosks and traveler identification, and Registered Traveler support services.
