Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. Rapiscan Systems, Inc. Approved: August 22, 2023 \| Expires: August 31, 2028 Rapiscan Systems, Inc. and its subsidiaries provide Cargo and Vehicle Inspection Systems. The Technology is a line of devices that use X-ray radiation to scan vehicles, containers, rail, and cargo for threats. The Technology can be configured to use backscatter technology if desired. Technology also includes installation, training (operation, maintenance, and safety), warranty, maintenance, repair services, and the qualified field personnel to perform such services.
South Florida Stadium LLC Approved: August 17, 2023 \| Expires: August 31, 2028 South Florida Stadium LLC, Miami Dolphins, Ltd., and SFS Events, LLC provide South Florida Stadium LLC Security Program for Hard Rock Stadium. The Technology is the Applicant’s implementation of the National Football League’s (NFL) Best Practices for Stadium Security, resulting in a program comprised of a comprehensive program comprised of threat and vulnerability assessments, security planning, physical and electronic security equipment, tools, emergency planning processes and procedures, and properly trained personnel, and which covers the entire Hard Rock Stadium property, including the seating bowl and suites, gates, loading dock, inner and secondary perimeters, field, locker rooms, areas housing utility and mechanical systems, command center, and parking areas.
Mulligan Security Corp. Approved: July 30, 2023 \| Expires: August 31, 2026 Mulligan Security LLC provides Security Services. The Technology is a suite of traditional security officer services designed to deter, prevent, detect, alert, and respond to a variety of security threats at high-rise commercial buildings, religious facilities, corporate facilities, and adjacent critical infrastructure in the New York metropolitan area and in New Jersey. The Technology also includes the provision of armed and unarmed security officers performing traditional security officer services that can include security officers trained and licensed as fire guards and/or life safety directors.

The Technology falls under a Block Designation Notice BD-19 in accordance with the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) Certified Cargo Screening Program at TSA-approved Certified Cargo Screening Facilities.

The Technology is a walk-through metal detector for screening people in transit, without divestment of personal belongings or hand-carried bags such as backpacks, purses, and handbags, to detect metallic assembled firearms, large edged weapons, and assembled person-borne improvised explosive devices.
