Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

Syagen Technology, Inc., provides the Guardian™, an explosives trace detection portal used for screening people for concealed explosives.


Raytheon Company: Private Screening Services

Approved: February 02, 2007 | Expires: February 29, 2012

Raytheon Company provides Private Screening Services which can include trained and skilled personnel to operate screening equipment, conduct pre-board passenger screening, and perform routine maintenance on screening equipment to prevent prohibited items from entering the sterile area of the airport.


International RAM Associates: Private Screening Services

Approved: February 02, 2007 | Expires: February 29, 2012

International RAM Associates provides Private Screening Services to prevent prohibited items from entering the sterile area of the airport. These services can include trained personnel to operate screening equipment and conduct pre-board passenger screening, the training of such personnel, and routine maintenance services for screening equipment.
