Designations

For Designation as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology (QATT), a technology must demonstrate effectiveness during operational testing or through prior use. Designation provides limited liability for third-party claims arising out of the deployment of the QATT with respect to an "Act of Terrorism." The maximum liability is determined by DHS, and the Seller is required to maintain liability insurance at that level. Other protections include immunity from punitive damages. A full Designation normally lasts for 5 years and can be renewed. Any technology deployed during its period of Designation is protected for the lifetime of its deployment.

This designation also includes the MSTAR radar system, a self-contained ground surveillance radar system that provides wide-area surveillance coverage in all weather conditions.

These integrated services are designed to deter, prevent, detect, and respond to a variety of security threats, including acts of terrorism.


Building Security Council: Building Security Rating Program

The Building Security Council provides the Building Security Rating Program, a systematic methodology that incorporates existing industry best practices and guidelines for building security and terrorism resilience into an algorithm for assigning a rating to a facility.


20/20 GeneSystems, Inc.: BioCheck Powder Screening Test Kit

20/20 Gene Systems, Inc., provides the BioCheck Powder Screening Test Kit, which allows first responders and emergency personnel to determine if suspicious powders contain biological materials. The Technology tests for the presence of a biomolecule found in all living organisms (including bio warwafe agents and the components derived from them) and a second component determines the pH of the test subject to further characterize the suspicious material.

TUV Rheinland Japan, LTD., provides Third Party Validation Services, offered exclusively as part of the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) Third Party Validators Pilot Program. These services are designed to identify foreign companies that meet C-TPAT Minimum Security Requirements and transmit these findings to Customs and Border Protection (CBP).


Intertek: Third-Party Validation Services

Intertek provides the Third-Party Validation Services. The Technology is a set of services offered exclusively as part of the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT). They are designed to identify foreign companies that meet C-TPAT Minimum Security Requirements and transmit the finding to Customs and Border Patrol (CBP). The services include but are not limited to: validations of Standard Operating Procedures, processes and procedures of governing the training of third-party validators, and documentation used as part of the services.


High Rise Escape Systems, Inc.: Guardian and Responder
