Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.





Company/Technology

National Basketball Association

Approved: August 31, 2020 | Expires: September 30, 2025

The National Basketball Association ("NBA" provides the NBA Arena Security Standards, NBA Security Audits, and NBA Security Training and Awareness Programs (the "Technology"). The Technology is a comprehensive set of mandatory security standards for team and arena management designed to deter and defend against terrorist attacks at venues where NBA games are played, in addition to other general security risks. The Technology is implemented through the NBA Security Audits and NBA Security Training and Awareness Programs, and includes the hiring, vetting, qualifications, and training of NBA security personnel in connection with the three components of the Technology.


Centerra Group, LLC

Approved: August 24, 2020 | Expires: August 31, 2025

Centerra Group, LLC ("Centerra") and Constellis, LLC provide Force Protection Security Services (the "Technology"). The Technology is armed and unarmed guard services, specialized security forces, and fire protection and emergency response services for select government locations.


Securitas Critical Infrastructure Services, Inc.

Approved: August 21, 2020 | Expires: September 30, 2025

Securitas AB, Securitas Holdings Inc., Securitas Services, Inc., Securitas Critical Infrastructure Services, Inc., Securitas Critical Infrastructure Services of Puerto Rico, Inc., Pinkerton's LLC, and Paragon Systems Inc., provide Security Guard Services. The Technology is anti-terrorism functions performed by armed and unarmed security officers deployed in the United States and its territories for the protection of critical infrastructure. These security officers receive baseline and annual refresher training, including advanced anti-terrorism training comprised of: anti-terrorism threat awareness training, weapons of mass destruction ("WMD") training, terrorism method of operations training, and response to terror attacks.


San Diego Padres

Approved: August 14, 2020 | Expires: August 31, 2025

Padres L.P., a Delaware limited partnership, Padres GP, LLC, San Diego Ballpark Funding LLC, and RSNCO LLC provide the Petco Park Security Program during Game Days, Event Days, Non-Event Days, Special Events, Gallagher Square (formerly Park at the Park) Events, and Functions for use at Petco Park Stadium (the "Stadium"). The Technology is a comprehensive, integrated security program based on Major League Baseball’s Best Stadium Operating Practices, other sports industry best practices, other industry practices, and government recommendations; and is comprised of physical and electronic anti-terrorism security measures, tools, policies and procedures, and trained personnel designed to detect, deter, prevent, respond to, and mitigate acts of terrorism against Petco Park and ballpark ticket holders, visitors, staff, and employees.


Eagles Stadium Operator, LLC, and Philadelphia Eagles, LLC

Approved: August 04, 2020 | Expires: August 31, 2025

Eagles Stadium Operator, LLC, and Philadelphia Eagles, LLC provide the Security Program for Lincoln Financial Field. The Technology is a comprehensive security program based on the National Football League’s ("NFL") Best Practices for Stadium Security, which is composed of policies, procedures, physical, and electronic security equipment, and trained personnel to detect, deter, prevent, respond to, and mitigate Acts of Terrorism on event and non-event days at Lincoln Financial Field.


Colorado Rockies Baseball Club, Ltd.

Approved: July 13, 2020 | Expires: July 31, 2025

Colorado Rockies Baseball Club, Ltd., Denver Metropolitan Major League Baseball Stadium District, and Event Services LLC provide the Colorado Rockies Baseball Club, Ltd., Security Program for Coors Field. The Technology is a security program, comprised of physical and electronic security equipment, emergency planning processes and procedures, and trained personnel, which is deployed at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado. The Technology applies to all Major Events, including all Major League Baseball events. The Technology also includes 24/7 security measures which are deployed during Routine Operations within and outside the ticketed event window.


Global GRAB Technologies

Approved: June 29, 2020 | Expires: July 31, 2025

Global Grab Technologies, Inc., provides Perimeter Security and Access Control Components. The Technology is a family of barriers and systems designed to fit into the perimeter security installations for sites and facilities.


Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc.

Approved: June 04, 2020 | Expires: June 30, 2025

Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., Kimley-Horn Puerto Rico, LLC; Kimley-Horn of New York, P.C.; Kimley-Horn of Michigan, Inc.; and Kimley-Horn of DC, LLC provide Threat Mitigation Consulting Services (TMCS). The Technology is a set of professional engineering services and proprietary vehicle, traffic modeling, and forensic software tools used to prevent and mitigate the effects of vehicle-ramming and vehicle-borne improvised explosive device attacks at mass gatherings and critical infrastructure.


ASM Global Parent, Inc. F/K/A SMG

Approved: May 14, 2020 | Expires: May 31, 2025

ASM Global Parent, Inc., Minnesota Vikings Football, LLC, Minnesota Vikings Football Stadium Holdings, LLC, and Minnesota Vikings Football Stadium, LLC, provide the U.S. Bank Stadium Security Program (the "Technology"). The Technology is a comprehensive, integrated security program comprised of security policies and procedures, services, controls, systems and structural, physical, and technological security measures designed to detect, deter, prevent, respond to, and mitigate acts of terrorism at U.S. Bank Stadium, including the stadium and surrounding areas.


Massachusetts Convention Center Authority ("MCCA")

Approved: May 01, 2020 | Expires: June 30, 2023

Massachusetts Convention Center Authority ("MCCA") provides a comprehensive, anti-terrorism security program for the protection of the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (the "Technology"). The Technology is designed and used to deter, detect, and respond to acts of terrorism at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.
