Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

Universal Protection Service d/b/a Allied Universal

Approved: March 31, 2020 | Expires: March 31, 2022

Universal Protection Service, LP d/b/a Allied Universal Security Services; Universal Protection Service, LLC d/b/a Allied Universal Security Services; Universal Protection Service of Seattle, LLC; AlliedBarton Security Services LLC; AlliedBarton (NC) LLC; Guardsmark (Puerto Rico), LLC; and AlliedBarton Security Services LP provide Anti-Terrorism Security Services (the "Technology"). The Technology is a private security officer service offering within the larger Allied Universal organization. It is designed specifically for those customers requiring armed or unarmed security officers who are trained with an additional emphasis on anti-terrorism tactics.


Covenant Aviation Security

Approved: March 25, 2020 | Expires: April 30, 2025

Covenant Aviation Security, LLC (CAS) provides its Security Services, Guard Services, and Physical Security Services for Aviation Facilities. The Technology consists of the provision of unarmed security officers who perform access control services, screening of persons, vehicle screening, foot and vehicle patrols, and alarm monitoring at airports. The Technology is subject to applicable State and local laws for the provision of security services and, depending upon the regulatory status of the client to whom the services are provided, to U.S. Government regulations for security operations at airports, including applicable sections of 49 CFR, Chapter 12, Subchapter C for Civil Aviation Security.


Analogic Corporation

Approved: March 25, 2020 | Expires: April 30, 2025

Analogic Corporation provides the Checkpoint CT Baggage Screening System (ConneCT or the Technology). The Technology is designed to detect explosives and other prohibited items, and is used for the screening of carry-on luggage at airports or other screening checkpoints. The Technology includes technical manuals, warranty and maintenance services, site surveys, installation and on-site support, and training services.


Building Intelligence Inc.

Approved: March 23, 2020 | Expires: April 30, 2025

Building Intelligence, Inc. provides SV3 (the "Technology"). The Technology is a software-based database used by building managers, occupants, and security personnel to support security identification of vendors, vehicles, and visitors, processing admission and maintaining a record of activity, identities, and objects at a given facility.


Brock Solutions

Approved: March 10, 2020 | Expires: March 31, 2025

Brock Solutions Inc. and Brock Solutions U.S. Inc. provide the Automated In-Line Explosive Detection System ("EDS") Baggage Screening System (the "Technology"). The Technology is a control and software package designed for baggage screening systems of varying complexity. The Technology can be fully or partially implemented, and includes design, development, testing, installation, and integration services.


The Boeing Company

Approved: March 05, 2020 | Expires: March 31, 2025

The Boeing Company ("Boeing") provides the Aircraft Delivery Security Operations ("ADSO" or the "Technology"). The Technology is a program of plans, personnel, and procedures designed to maintain the safety and security of Boeing commercial aircraft delivery flights. The Technology includes service and maintenance of Transportation Security Administration-certified screening equipment, software, data, materials, audits of screening processes, and training.


K2 Solutions, Inc.

Approved: March 04, 2020 | Expires: March 31, 2023

K2 Solutions, Inc., provides Person-Borne Explosive Detection Canine Teams. The Technology is the use of proprietary explosive detection canine teams to detect explosives carried by individuals, e.g., in backpacks and/or clothing, by tracking the odor from explosive material to a moving source. The Technology is also used to locate explosives on stationary objects. The Technology also includes hiring and vetting of personnel, and policies and procedures used for its deployment.


Rapiscan Systems, Inc.

Approved: March 04, 2020 | Expires: March 31, 2023

Rapiscan Systems, Inc. provides Radiation Monitors. The Technology is a family of products that include portal, hand-held, and mobile radiation monitors. The Technology also includes the RAVENTM and KLOE communications software products.


Royal Realty Corp. (d/b/a) The Durst Organization

Approved: February 25, 2020 | Expires: February 28, 2022

Royal Realty Corp. d/b/a The Durst Organization, 4TS II LLC, and Four Times Square Associates L.L.C, provide the One Five One Security Program (the "Technology"). The Technology is an integrated security system comprised of policies and procedures, trained personnel, and physical and electronic anti-terrorism security measures designed to detect, deter, prevent, respond to, and mitigate acts of terrorism against One Five One tenants, visitors, and staff. The Technology is based on guidelines derived from State and local fire prevention codes and government agency recommendations, in compliance with New York Local Law 26, and is intended exclusively for One Five One (151) West 42nd Street, New York, New York 10036.


Akal Security Inc.

Approved: February 07, 2020 | Expires: March 31, 2025

AKAL Security Inc. provides Screening Partnership Program Services (the "Technology") at airports and other locations as the Transportation Security Administration ("TSA") determines are in compliance with standard operating procedures, directives, policies, and updates the TSA Screening Partnership Program issues and are in compliance with the TSA issued contractual Statement of Work.
