Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

Service Source Inc.

Approved: January 28, 2020 | Expires: February 28, 2025

ServiceSource, Inc. provides its Mail Processing, Screening, and Distribution Service. The Technology is an integrated set of processes, procedures, equipment, and personnel designed to safeguard facilities, their occupants, and addressees against mail-borne chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive threats. The Technology includes the receipt, screening, processing, and distribution of incoming mail and parcels. It is deployed in accordance with operational requirements set forth by the Department of Homeland Security. Included in the Technology are all manuals and technical documents associated with deployment of the Technology as well as the underlying process.


ARES Corporation

Approved: January 24, 2020 | Expires: February 28, 2025

ARES Security Corporation, a California corporation, provides AVERT® (Automated Vulnerability Evaluation for Risks of Terrorism®) Software and Related Services, a PC-based software tool for performing vulnerability assessments of user-defined facilities (the "Technology"). The Technology uses 3-D graphic tools, digital imagery information, and other components such as customer facility designs and geographic data to develop a 3-D site map of a customer’s facility. The Technology also includes associated manuals, related training, and options including support services, consultant services, and tactical review and validation of models by subject matter experts.


Evolv Technology

Approved: January 24, 2020 | Expires: February 28, 2022

Evolv Technology provides Evolv Express (the "Technology"). The Technology is a walk-through metal detector to detect concealed metallic materials and assist operators in detecting and locating prohibited items that could be used as a weapon. The Technology screens individuals carrying hand-carried bags and smaller personal items traversing the detector at walking pace. The Technology also includes support services, documentation, and maintenance, with options for systems integration.


Constellis, LLC

Approved: January 21, 2020 | Expires: February 28, 2025

Constellis, LLC and American K9 Detection Services, LLC, operates as a Certified Cargo Screening Facility-Canine ("CCSF-K9") provider in accordance with directives issued by the Transportation Security Administration ("TSA") for the screening and securing of cargo which will be transported on passenger and all-cargo aircraft (the "Technology").


PKWARE Corporation

Approved: January 03, 2020 | Expires: January 31, 2025

PKWARE, Inc. provides Smartcrypt, formerly SecureZIP (the "Technology"). The Technology is a software package that provides the ability to protect and safeguard sensitive organizational data in the event of data theft or a terrorist attack on a network. The Technology provides ZIP compression and uses strong AES 256 encryption to protect data in motion or at rest. The Technology also includes Help Desk services and an administrative console for setting and enforcing data security policies.


Tusco, Inc

Approved: December 10, 2019 | Expires: October 31, 2024

Tusco, Inc., provides Perimeter Security Products and Services (the "Technology). The Technology is a set of services for physical security of facility perimeters, including site assessments, construction, installation, and integration of commercial barrier products, maintenance, and user training.


RaySecur Inc.

Approved: December 03, 2019 | Expires: December 31, 2024

RaySecur Inc. provides MailSecur (the "Technololgy"). The Technology is a millimeter wave based detector designed to screen mail content for threats. The Technology also includes training, maintenance, calibration, software updates, and remote support.


Mutualink, Inc.

Approved: November 22, 2019 | Expires: November 30, 2024

Mutualink, Inc. provides Mutualink (the "Technology"). The Technology is an interoperable multimedia communications sharing product that securely connects disparate communication and media sources together for real-time collaboration. The Technology includes training, user manuals, creation, evaluation, exercise and use of concept of operations and standard operating procedures in concert with customers, roll call and table top exercises, live incident user and operational assistance as requested and other customer support services.


Ryder System, Inc.

Approved: November 22, 2019 | Expires: December 31, 2024

Ryder System, Inc. provides Global Supply Chain Security Program (the "Technology"). The Technology consists of physical, technical, and procedural security measures for secure shipment of goods transported across international borders into the United States from non-U.S. locations. The policies, procedures, and implementation of the Technology comply with, and are certified under, the voluntary U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program. The Technology includes development of policies and procedures, hiring and vetting of employees and third-party contractors, training, and quality assurance over implementation of the Technology.

BAE Systems, Inc. and BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration Inc. provide the GXP OpsView® software solution (the "Technology") The Technology is a web-and-mobile-based situational awareness and collaboration application, enabling real-time geospatial tracking of incident response personnel and information sharing.
