Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

The Boeing Company

Approved: March 29, 2019 | Expires: April 30, 2024

The Boeing Company provides the e-Enabled Architecture (the "Technology"). The Technology includes secure networking capabilities that can be deployed in support of commercial aviation applications and operations.


National Fire Protection Association

Approved: March 19, 2019 | Expires: March 31, 2024

The National Fire Protection Association, Inc. ("NFPA") is an American National Standards Institute ("ANSI") Accredited Standards Development Organization that has developed NFPA /American National Standards using the NFPA Codes and Standards Development Process, which meets the requirements of due process and criteria for approval and withdrawal of American National Standards (the "Technology"). The Technology is a set of codes and standards that address anti-terrorism technologies in the areas of personal protective garments, equipment, professional qualifications for first responders, and for preparedness planning for infrastructure and enterprise protection, fire protection systems, and for critical electrical and building systems.


LiveSafe, Inc.

Approved: March 19, 2019 | Expires: April 30, 2024

LiveSafe, Inc. provides LiveSafe (the "Technology"). The Technology is a software platform which enables people to submit security and safety tips to security personnel via a proprietary mobile application (accessed on a smartphone mobile device) and a cloud-based Command Dashboard that allows security personnel to monitor tips and incidents. The Technology also includes the user manual, training materials, implementation process, and maintenance of the platform.


Leidos, Inc.

Approved: March 19, 2019 | Expires: April 30, 2024

Leidos, Inc. provides Radiation Portal Monitor Systems (the "Technology"). The Technology consists of systems that use gamma-ray and neutron detection modules to passively monitor closed, moving vehicles, containers, and/or railcars for the presence of radioactive materials. The Technology also includes warranty and maintenance services, installation and operation services, technical manuals, customer training, and the selection of personnel who provide the Technology.


Trans-Pak, Inc.

Approved: March 04, 2019 | Expires: March 31, 2024

Trans-Pak, Inc. provides a Certified Cargo Screening Facility (the "Technology"). The Technology is designed to aid in meeting the congressional mandate that 100 percent of cargo placed on passenger airplanes be screened. The Technology includes, and provides, screeners and programmatic personnel for the screening of cargo in accordance with the Transportation Security Administration ("TSA")’s Certified Cargo Screening Program at TSA-approved Certified Cargo Screening Facilities.


Covenant Aviation Security, LLC

Approved: February 27, 2019 | Expires: March 31, 2024

Covenant Aviation Security, LLC provides Private Screening Services (a/k/a Screening Partnership Program Services) (the "Technology"). The Technology consists of trained and certified personnel who conduct passenger, airport employee, and baggage screening in accordance with Transportation Security Administration ("TSA") guidelines and standard operating procedures.


Harbor Offshore, Inc.

Approved: February 26, 2019 | Expires: March 31, 2024

Harbor Offshore, Inc. provides Port Security Barrier (PSB) systems. The Technology is a seaborne physical barrier system designed to protect ships and water-accessible critical infrastructure from high-speed boat attacks. The Technology is an integrated series of buoys, pontoons, gates, and nets that physically isolate and guard a designated portion of a waterway from intrusion. The Technology also includes site assessment, design engineering, installation preplanning, system installation, and maintenance training.


Ryder System, Inc. and Ryder Truck Rental, Inc.

Approved: February 15, 2019 | Expires: February 29, 2024

Ryder System, Inc. and Ryder Truck Rental, Inc. provide FMS Vehicle Rental, Lease, and Sales Customer Screening Program (the "Technology"). The Technology is a business process that enables the screening against open source watch lists of customers of the Applicant’s sales, leasing, or rental vehicle business prior to engaging in a transaction together with enhanced measures such as the restriction or closing of its business during times of heightened threats.


Electrolytic Technologies Corporation

Approved: February 15, 2019 | Expires: March 31, 2024

Electrolytic Technologies Systems LLC provides the Klorigen™ (the "Technology"). The Technology is a chemical process system for the on-site production of Chlorine or Sodium Hypochlorite solution at water treatment plants and chemical facilities. The Technology can be fully or partially implemented and includes an operating and maintenance manual, site assessments, supervision of installation, field and acceptance testing, training, and customizable service and warranty plans.


EAGL Technology LLC

Approved: February 15, 2019 | Expires: March 31, 2022

EAGL Technology LLC provides Emergency Automatic Gunshot Lockdown (EAGL) System and CityWeb. The Technology is a detection system designed to identify, differentiate, and report gunshot information and is coupled with systems to execute a preprogrammed, customer-chosen set of response options with the objective of reducing casualties by improving response time of first responders. The Technology also includes site surveys, installation and integration services, training to third parties for integration, training for users, and resolution of warranty issues.
