Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

Mission Support Alliance, LLC ("MSA")

Approved: April 28, 2015 | Expires: May 31, 2020

Mission Support Alliance, LLC (“MSA”) provides Mission Security & Support Services. The Technology provides an integrated suite of safety and security products and services to the Department of Energy. The Technology also includes integration of products and services, written policies, procedures, training materials, manuals, and support materials.


World Courier, Inc.

Approved: April 28, 2015 | Expires: May 31, 2020

World Courier, Inc. provides Certified Cargo Screening Facilities (the "Technology"). The Technology is designed to aid in meeting the congressional mandate that 100 percent of cargo placed on passenger airplanes be screened. The Technology includes, and provides, screeners and programmatic personnel for the screening of cargo in accordance with the Transportation Security Administration (“TSA”)’s Certified Cargo Screening Program at TSA-approved Certified Cargo Screening Facilities.


SecureUSA, Inc.

Approved: April 28, 2015 | Expires: May 31, 2020

SecureUSA, Inc. provides the FutureWEDGE Series (the “Technology”). The Technology is a product line of active perimeter vehicle barricades that aid in delaying the entrance of unauthorized intruders to installations. The Technology also includes installation, maintenance, and service, depending on customer requests/requirements.


John S. Connor, Inc.

John S. Connor, Inc. provides Certified Cargo Screening Facilities (the "Technology"). The Harris County Sports & Convention Corporation (“HCSCC”) provides the NRG Stadium Security Program (the “Technology”). The Technology is a comprehensive security program composed of policies; procedures; physical and electronic security equipment; and trained personnel to detect, deter, prevent, respond to, and mitigate Acts of Terrorism, exclusively at NRG Stadium, inclusive of the NRG Stadium and parking lots throughout NRG Park, during events utilizing the NFL Best Practices for Stadium Security and on non-event days. The Technology includes the development of security policies and procedures, and is performed in accordance with the NFL Best Practices for Stadium Security.


FireEye, Inc.

Approved: April 22, 2015 | Expires: April 30, 2020

FireEye, Inc. ("FireEye") provides the Multi-Vector Virtual Execution (“MVX”) Engine and Cloud Services (the "Technology"). The Technology is a software platform and related services designed to protect customers from malware. By executing suspicious content in a virtual machine environment, the Technology analyzes software for malicious code and behaviors. Updates to the software are shared with customers via FireEye's cloud service. This is a cyber-related technology.


Lockheed Martin Corporation

Approved: April 10, 2015 | Expires: April 30, 2020

Lockheed Martin Corporation provides Gyrocam (the “Technology”). The Technology is a customizable optical surveillance system used to survey an area for, and detect, potential threat items or people. The Technology also includes systems design and integration, installation, maintenance, and training.


SecureUSA, Inc.

Approved: April 10, 2015 | Expires: May 31, 2020

SecureUSA, Inc. provides Fixed and Electro-mechanical Retractable Bollards (the “Technology”). The Technology is a product line of active and passive perimeter vehicle barricades that aid in delaying the entrance of unauthorized intruders to installations. Included in the Technology are installation, maintenance, and service, depending on customer requests/requirements.


Covenant Aviation Security, LLC (“CAS”)

Approved: April 09, 2015 | Expires: April 30, 2020

Covenant Aviation Security, LLC (“CAS”) provides its Security Services, Guard Services, and Physical Security Services for Aviation Facilities (the “Technology”). The Technology consists of the provision of unarmed security officers who perform access control services, screening of persons, vehicle screening, foot and vehicle patrols, and alarm monitoring at airports. The Technology is subject to applicable State and local laws for the provision of security services and, depending upon the regulatory status of the client to whom the services are provided, to U.S. Government regulations for security operations at airports, including applicable sections of 49 CFR, Chapter 12, Subchapter C for Civil Aviation Security.


The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey

Approved: April 08, 2015 | Expires: April 30, 2020

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey implements the Newark Liberty International Airport Security Program through a variety of procedures involving physical and electronic security measures, tools and procedures. These efforts include development and enforcement of the airport’s security plan, training of police and other security personnel, conducting background checks of airport workers and overseeing security systems.
